Doctor of Osteopathy
David Johnson is a qualified Sports Therapist, Doctor of Osteopathy, and an Olympic level Strength Coach. David Specialises in Musculoskeletal injuries – As diverse as chronic back pain and scoliosis, shoulder pain and rotator cuff injuries, knee pain and ACL/Ligament rehabilitation, to complex disorders of the foot and ankle including plantar fasciitis. At FlowSpace, we also offer advanced rehabilitation for chronic tendon pain, such as Tennis and Golfers Elbow pain, Achillies tendinopathy, Rotator-cuff Tendinopathy and Patella Tendinopathy. David has worked with multiple World Class athletes in sports as diverse as hammer throwing, Brazilian jiujitsu, rugby, soccer, boxing, Mixed Martial Arts, CrossFit, running (long and sprint distances), cycling, strongman, arm wrestling and powerlifting. David began his career interning and learning from Charles Poliquin (arguably the GOAT of Strength Coaching) and became an Olympic Level Strength Coach. After seeing multiple athletes (including himself) become injured from the high volume of training, and seeing that sports injury prevention and specific rehabilitation, at that time, were not implemented into the athletes training programs, he decided to go back to university to become a qualified Sports Therapist. Once qualified and seeing patients, he realised that he wanted a more holistic approach to musculoskeletal injuries, so he went on to study and receive his Doctor of Osteopathy degree. Since then, David has invested in post graduate education in Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal Medicine. His work has allowed him the opportunity to present at The Royal College of Surgeons, The European Congress on Sports and Exercise Medicine, as well as the prestigious Executive Council and several Government bodies in Dubai. Davids philosophy can be summed up with the quote “there are no problems, only opportunities to find solutions”.
